Boulder City is located approximately 25 miles southeast of downtown Las Vegas and only 10 miles southeast of the city of Henderson. Boulder City’s origin is closely tied to the construction boom that occurred in the 1930’s connected to the construction of the Hoover Dam and it is the only city in Nevada that does not provide gaming of any type. Boulder City can be characterized with a small town atmosphere, with a large number of lush parks and a great deal of security. The city has enacted strict regulatory laws that limit its growth and it has no master planned communities or large resorts. If you love the outdoors then Boulder City is the place for you! It offers high quality recreational facilities that include golf courses, year round swimming pools, tennis courts and truly world class mountain biking at Bootleg Canyon and a large number of hiking trails. Boulder City’s proximity to the Lake Meade Recreational area makes it a gateway to the largest, cleanest reservoir in the continental Unites States, with extensive water sports available including skiing, fishing, boating and camping on the shores. |
