Additional HUD Staff to Fight Las Vegas Foreclosures
The Department of Housing and Urban Development, otherwise known as HUD are moving eight more employees to Las Vegas to help the city provide more assistance to homeowners who might be facing a Las Vegas Foreclosure.
This is a rapid response type of team that is trained and will be operational within a matter of days. The HUD field office in Las Vegas already employs 16 workers, including two representatives for the HUD inspector general’s office.
This will enable HUD and the city to hopefully lessen the number of Foreclosures that could impact our market and increase the number of homeowners who can hopefully get help with the Mortgage Assistance program.
Up till now much of the work that this particular team will do has been handled out of Southern California. So, this new team will certainly help to cut down on communications time and related issues. We applaud HUD – keep up the good work!
