City Center opened in December of 2009 to much fanfare and some skepticism. But, it’s rapidly become the go to example of the “can do” Las Vegas spirit, with only one development delayed to date, the Harmon – everything else has been on schedule.
But, everything else is all good – MGM Grand has exceeded expectations by developing 27 acres of prime real estate on the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and it truly is a “city within a city.”
Hottest Ticket in Town
Aria’s Haze Nightclub is jam packed most nights and is truly one of the hottest spots in Las Vegas. The Aria is huge, with two levels of exclusive bottle service where high rollers and celebrities regularly spent thousands of dollars on a night out on the town.
Aria also has 17 themed restaurants, eight bars and a brand new Elvis-themd Cirque du Soleil show, Viva Elvis, a drop dead gorgeous spa and a beautiful casino in case you get bored eating and hanging out with movie stars!
Crystal’s Shopping Center Redefines Luxury
If you venture outside and head next door you will bump into one of the most beautiful high end Shopping Centers in the World, Crystals. Which has just about every luxury brand store that you could think of including Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Bulgarie, Versace and even Porsche. The Robert Cavali store even features its own catwalk and the Tiffany store has a two story 1K square foot flagship store.
Dazzling Contemporary Art Work
Another focal point for the City Center Development is its gorgeous art work. MGM spared no expense ensuring the site has breathtaking modern art for every taste, having spent over $450 Million on contemporary artworks. The collection features works of art from Nancy Rubins, Henry Moore and many other well known artists.
Green Credentials for City Center
MGM has also done a wonderful job of ensuring the entire project was “green” in every sense of the word. City Center is one of the largest developments in the US to have been awarded Gold Certififcation by the US Green Building Councils Leadership in Enery and Environmental Design.
During construction alone, over 230K tons of was water was recycled or reused. If you look closely at all of the fixtures throughout City Center you’ll see low flow bathroom fittings everywhere, specially coated heat reflecting windows and a first of its kind, fleet of natural gas powered limos.
So, what does City Center have to do with Las Vegas Real Estate you ask? Glad you did…….. We hear and see so much negative publicity about Las Vegas we wanted to share something that underscore some of the great and positive things happening in our fair city! City Center rocks our world………..

I’d have to check with you here. Which isn’t something I usually do! I get pleasure from studying a put up that may make individuals think. Additionally, thanks for allowing me to comment!
