We are all in favor of anything that helps the local Las Vegas Homeowner and our local and national real estate markets. As of late last week, Las Vegas Homebuyers who took advantage of the $8,000. Federal Tax Credit but were unable to close their transaction by the end of this month may have received an extension from the Federal Government.
On Wednesday, the 16th of June 2010 the Senate voted to to add three more months of time to the closing schedule of the tax credit program. This would extend this program until the end of September of this year. But, this Las Vegas Home Buyer Tax Credit is only applicable to home buyers who had a contract in place by April 30th of this year.
The amendment was sponsored by Harry Reid (D-Nev) with the thought again of helping the Las Vegas Real Estate Market. The amendment has also been supported by the National Association of Realtors, RE/MAX International and tens of thousand of other real estate professionals.
But, this amendment will only become law if the House and Senate reconcile their separate bills – the House passed a similar bill back in March. We are confident that this bill will be passed, as it can only benefit the Las Vegas Real Estate and National Markets!
