For once we are glad to not be in a top ten list. The S&P Case-Shiller Index released a report today listing the top ten cities in the US that will have the steepest decline and Las Vegas was NOT on the list.
We are so sick of the media bashing Las Vegas Real Estate as the “poster child” of negative news that we must admit we are happy that for once we did not “make the cut.” The cities that did make the list were all in California (most of them) and in Florida.
Although we don’t want to be accused of “Schadenfreude” the German term for taking pleasure in the misfortune of others – we are just glad to see Las Vegas is not getting bashed again by the media!
We continue to believe that Las Vegas has bottomed out or so close to bottoming that any further reductions will not be statistically significant moving forward.
It is our fervent hope that these chaotic times we are in right now begin to recede as we move into the New Year! Here is a wonderful picture of snow hitting Las Vegas late last week that we hope will help to get you into the holiday spirit.
